    So, I'm seeing a few of these on various sites. Being listed as "cabriolets"... Where are these coming from? Are they possibly Kubels that have been converted? Some other thing entirely?

    Ostermann cabriolets. :)
    I think they are still in business. they convert cars, and also sells do it yourself kits. quite a lot of reinforcements are welded into the body. :)
