With that said, for the forums, there is more information under 'Announcements" titled "Future of the Forums' you could also copy and paste this link: http://www.trabantforums.com/threads/future-of-the-forums-donations.1762/

    Hi.

My name is Colin. Usually found lurking on IFA club sites in UK and Germany, and various Honda Prelude forums.

Based just north of Bristol in South Gloucestershire. I have 2 Trabants and a Honda Prelude.

P601 Trabant Limo, 12v, built in January 1990 (so after the fall of the Berlin Wall and just before VW took over VEB Sachsenring and started making the 1.1 water-cooled cars):

P601 Trabant Kübel, 6v, built in March 1983 and exported to Hungary. Restored in Hungary and then imported into the UK by me at the end of 2010.

And here's the Prelude for completeness - 4th gen, 2.2 VTEC, UK spec car. Completely different beast.

    Best wishes, Colin

View of the flock as it stands now:

The Zil went to a museum (Cold War Collection) and the Kübel went to someone as a part-finished project (I got the shell re-sprayed and never got around to putting it back together again).

    Best wishes, Colin
