After completing my first Kart the &quot;Viscount Vinson Special&quot;, my son decided wouldn't it be more fun if we have two kart?  So build number 2 has begun. 
We are combining two designs.  The front will be like the 'MonoKart' of Dennis Thomas, the rear will be like the 1911 Marmon Wasp.

We are thinking of calling it the &quot;Mono Wasp&quot;.

My son (8 years old) really digs the 'Warbird' look of the karts from Vintage Kart Co. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

Got the body work and paint completed last week end.  Rattle can, turned out better than expected.  I have a few spots that need to be sanded and buffed to remove some runs and a few dull spots, but a lot cheaper and easier than buying paint equipment that my compressor isn't strong enough to run anyway.

I am very please with the results.

So the body is pretty well done.  The interior is in.
The next step is to paint the body, however, people are trying to convince me to leave the aluminum bare.  I am on the fence about this.

I also am pondering rigging up a brake light system.  I stopped in at the local SO CAL shop, they have a lever style brake switch that may work perfect. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

1924 Barber-Warnock Model T Indy Racer.

I know others have probably used this as their inspiration car...there is a reason.  I think it looks super cool. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

        <title>First Pictures Of Kart</title>

We started working on this after meeting Dennis Thomas at the Copperstate 1000 in April of this year.  Dennis' passion is contagious....in a good way.  
Our inspiration started with Dennis' number 27 Model T.  It was further refined to look a little more like the 1924 Barber-Warnock Model T.  So far we almost have a running chassis, just a few more details to address and then we are ready to work on the body. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
