Couldn't get my screen shot to load but this is the ad
Hi fellow collectors,
In case you were looking for a truly unique car:
I am selling THE classic East German car, a piece of history, of which only a very limited number are left, not to mention in this condition - it was a barn find with only around 20,000 original miles - a 1982 Trabant 601s.
Please refer to this article if you would like to learn more about this old timer:
Clean, clear US title in hand. (as well as the original title from Germany, issued in 1982)
Thanks for your interest!
Seems a bit high to me considering the condition.
In Chicago, eh? But the pics were taken in Germany......and this car looks familiar. I think I corresponded with the guy when he put it up for sale on EBay a while back. I asked him the question, is this car in America? If so, where can I view it? Turns out he was actually in Hungary, and he was looking to export the cars here, and the pic was a generic one.
Also, 10K for a Trabi?
Based on the location shown on that map and then the photos shown, 100% the car is not in Chicago
Hate when people do that if your a exporter or dealer just say it not this shady type of ad where its not even the car being sold in the pics
I agree that is a fishing ad all day long.
10k is a bit high i think if the car was rust free maybe that is a 6-7k car if it was in the usa with a clean import docs
Clean, clear US title in hand. (as well as the original title from Germany, issued in 1982) what the hell is a clean US title when did america give titles for cars?
The fellow sent me a reply. He says this is his car.
Could be legit. If anyone's interested, let me know by email, I'll send you his contact info.
Oddly enough, whoever owns this Trabi was driving it on a highway in Pennsylvania today.... https://www.facebook.com/ManiekSzygula/videos/1782859221978139/
Still looks like a 6k at most car to me
Wish there was a way to see what he sells it for if he gets close to 10k I'm gonna be uppin. my insurance policy
Values have really gone up if you guys think that's 6k. Might we be concerned about the rusty rockers and why the door doesn't shut properly?
didnt even notice the rockers been looking at the pics on my phone im assuming the door closes from the video
Well, from the Craigslist ad update, looks like they made it all the way to Chicago.
The door looks to be ajar.
$6k at best, $4k is more likely to get it sold
