and we're off...........
So are any of you American cousins actually driving your Trabbis to this event? Tut tut.
900+ mile round trip? How about....no.
Have you no faith? That's surely one of the main reasons to own/drive a Trabbi is the fun of the drive, not knowing if you may make it or not. And a great deal of satisfaction if you do!
I've put 19K km on mine over the past year and a half, going back and forth to shows and just driving around for fun. But I'm here in DC with it, and it came down in an enclosed trailer. "Take care of the Trabi, and it will take care of you!"
Well I'm driving my Trabi all the way to New York today from my home in the Midlands to an event today.
Steve, good one!
The farthest I've traveled with Heike has been 200 miles (round trip). I've got one place I'd like to go that is 300 miles round trip, but I haven't built up the courage yet.
Will miss everyone in DC.
Looks like any rain potential will hold off until later in the day (post Rally).
Good show to everyone and have fun.
Is that New York dragway by any chance Steve? My old car did more miles there than on the road
Great show! A Lada and a Polish car showed up. Can't remember the make. And Bill's Barkas. So I guess if push came to shove and my Trabbi couldn't make it, I could bring my Yugo.
No, not there but here which is very nearby New York.
Ive been there its very good
You guys are famous.
looks like a great show this year congrats, some day i will make the trek
