Did anyone on the forum buy this Wisconsin eBay Trabant? It sold via "Buy-it-Now" today.

It didn't look like a 72 model (chrome bumpers and dashboard ) until I read it was a factory refurb model. Who ever bought it for $2500 got it at a bargain if you ask me if all it needed was a new battery, petcock valve rebuild and brake work.

It's a "(wink, wink) factory rebuild." Sure thing.

When I had money in hand to buy a trabi earlier this year and sent out an email to the trabi yahoo group, that guy responded and said he would sell it to me..I held out for almost a week, sending an email everyday and he never responded again..I was set to pay him $3000 and would come pick it up.

Guess the new buyer got a deal! From some of the pics he had sent me it was even cleaner than the ebay ad looked.
