    Hi folks!
Im Paul from Norwich in Eastern England.
    I've a 1982 Trabant P601.
I've owned it since October 2008 and it is the 7th Trabant I've owned!

I have been over to the USA a couple of times now.
My first was for the Trabant Rally in Washington DC in 2009 to mark the 20th Anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.
I stopped with Mike Annen in Baltimore and met some great guys while there.
This is the group photo. I'm sure many of you remember it, and are sure to be on it !

I'm right in the centre behind Mike Annen (in grey coat) left shoulder. I've got a dark blue sweater on.

Welcome Paul, Nice looking car. I must say that I am jealous that all you Brits seem to have to luggage rack and I can't find one anywhere.

    Hi Justin.
Leggage racks are so common here.
All UK cars are smaller than American ones and in the 1960s & 70s they were fitted to almost every car!
Mine is originally from a Mini.

My MG has a small luggage rack on the boot, so I know they are common on European cars. I didn't know a Mini rack would fit, that might be a bit easier to find. Were there any special mods to get it to sit right

    No modifications required.
The roof on a Trabant, as are the doors and front screen are exactly the same size as a Mini (1959 - 2000)
