HI all, first thank you for all your help this winter, my trabant is running well.

We have a 2nd trabant, which is a hycomat, and feels like the clucth slips and gears do not fully engage. It does not get over 60 KPH and each gear starts off very slow.

The clutch pedal comes up very high before the gear engages. where as my other trabi that is running well is opposite. the gears engange quickly as the clutch comes up. My son (owns the hycomat) seems to think it is normal that it only engages when 3/4 up. so can someone tell me if that is correct or is it a sign of a failing clutch?

We are trying to diagnose it before ordering a new clucth.

    Thanks in advance.

Do you have a copy of "Wie Helfe Ich Mir Selbst"? It goes into the Hycomat and its maintenance.

No. Do you know where we could get that?
