    Hey everyone,
I am trying to get my 601S started and I’m having trouble getting both of my coils to spark. Could somebody please confirm with me that my wiring is all correct? (see attached photos). And if it is, what else may be causing this problem. Thanks!!

Hi, that EBZA unit in the first picture should be wired (From left to right) Black-Green-Brown. So that looks right. As for the coils, the wires are different colors than what I'm used to. Either way, terminal #15 should be 12v+ with the key on. Connected to each other #15 on the coils, then the wire back to the black box on the fender.

Anyway check the ground (brown wire on top of coils) for a good connection. If you have a multimeter/volt meter, or test light see if 12v+ is on that #15 with key on...

Don't have the key on long, without the engine running, it will damage that black box(overheats).

try swapping the coils over to see if the coil is faulty or if its a wiring fault

Could be a bad plug wire, or resistor in the plug cap Too.
