Need to buy a jack, but noticed that the original jacks go into one of the 4 holes at the side of the car. The only options that I can find are a bottle jack or a scissor jack. Which one is best? Do I think just jack it up under the holes instead of in them?

I use the standard one I got with my Toyota. I'd think that as long as you're careful, it won't damage it.

Ok cool. that a scissor jack that came with yours?

Yeah that'll be it. I'm sure someone will disagree, but take care like I say.

Got to say that I love the colour of your Trabi! Where in the UK are you?

Usually a couple of them for sale on German fleaBay. I use 'oldtimer' as a way of filtering the old vs new ones.

Thanks all. Will have a look. If not will get a scissor. Assuming axel stands just go underneath the "holes"?

Thanks Mike. It's not my fave colour tbh, thinking of changing some bits of it up. I'm down in Hampshire, how about you?

It's a Marmite colour! For a Marmite car you could say lol. I'm down in Kent myself.

Haha yes one could say that. I keep swinging between loving it and disliking it.
