he told me that same thing. I tried to get him down from my debacle and the $3500 price and he wouldnt budge....last I saw on ebay he sold it for $2500 9 months later.

Good looking Trabi. Where is it located? I think a trade for a VW would be fair. Hopefully you are able to work out a deal. Keep us posted.

it is in pa at a car dealer they imported it from the uk. The vw is my daily driver so if we go through with it it would make the trabant my daily. Little bit scared dont have alot of trabant knowlage to know how itll be for my daily

I think you may need to become more open to shipping. This isn't the type of car that comes up for sale as a regular thing. You kind of have to take them as they come.

As said in another thread, it should not be anywhere in the 4 digit range to get the car from basically anywhere middle of the country and over to your area.

I could see it hitting $1000, MAYBE if it was coming from CA, OR or Washington State, but from Texas and further East it should be affordable and you'll likely get a better car.

There has been some conversation about the Trabi's that come out of your area. Some good, some bad but it can really be a crap shoot if you're not careful.

Just my 2 cents.
