Just an old fart trying to keep up. I have started building my version of the Alfa Romeo P3 Tipo B. Brian S has set a very high mark, I don’t even kid myself that mine will be as nice as his. Don’t hold your breath. It is going to take me a while.

Picture 01 shows the spindle drilling jig that securely holds the spindle blank while I attempt to drill a 1" diameter hole mostly through the spindle at a 10° angle using an inadequate table top drill press. Hey, so long no see. What can I say, I always said that this would be a non-conventional slow build. I still don't have any builders near me and so I'm not in a hurry to finish. Well, next on the list is to determine the spoke length required to mate my custom hub to the RIMs I have selected. There are spoke length calculators available on the web to perform this task (see E Bikes Spoke Calculator but I thought I woud come up with a method that made sence to me and THEN see how it compared to the calculated length.
