“The MG”
The good old MG! My father got this MGA from his father in the mid-Seventies. A long and fun bunch of adventures and fun ensued, culminating in an article in Road & Track about the car!
In 1998 the MG moved up to Carmel from Del Mar. In Carmel, it got a nice new MGB engine and was made road-ready! Then in 2006 it went to the Hill Country of Texas where it kind of sat for many years, then was put in storage in a steel shed in TX in 2013...Bad for it, sadly. In 2024, I brought it to Virginia, where it sits now, waiting to be brought back to life. Needs all new rubber everywhere, and a thorough going=through. New paint, too, at some point. But the roads here are lovely and it actually has a future again!
