How soft is your aluminum, do you think your front suspension would work on a reversed trike (Morgan) . How did you finish the edge of the cockpit. Can't see on the photo. How thick is your sheet metal. I dropped my back cover yesterday. Made a nice dent. Btw very nice looking ride Henny

The aluminum is .032 thick #5052. I think you could make that front axle work on most any car you build with a little modification. The edge of the cockpit is has 3/4" thick plywood (2 layers of 3/8" bending ply) for strength. I used a little bit of 16 gauge steel here and there. The car is a little on the heavy side being a 2 seater and all. It will make a nice boulevard cruiser for my wife and the kids.

The spring is from Engels Coach shop. They make horse drawn wagons and the spring came off the wagon seat. The spring comes with 2 leaves and I removed to shorter top one. The spring rate is perfect and the suspension works very nice. http://www.engelscoachshop.com/ Click on the Accessories section and scroll down to find the spring.
