So why did you have to raise the tank 3/8"?Besides the obvious...the cable would not fit underneath??As that was to be my task today......work on throttle cable, brake cable, and brake lines.Anything to procrastinate further on the body build.Brian

The cable would fit under, but the block that holds the cable hit the corner of the tank when I put it back on. I could have made another bracketed to move it closer to the carb, but raising the tank was much easier.
