Cleaned the shop. Put some pieces together and it rolls!
Checked with level and it's right on! I love it when a plan comes together!
Looked so good I had to keep going so I then worked on the body layout some more. Put a cooler were the seat will be to check for size feels good.
needed more clamps so I used some old plastic hangers that have clips
Worked nicely.

Started Laying out the body with cardboard
Still making some changes till it looks right.
Tried standing in cockpit for size and, it put a smile on my face.
Rolling kart will be next, after I make some room in shop.

Engine Mount And Spring Hangers Welded.

Was busy this past week laying out and welding the engine / jack shaft mount.
also welded on the spring hangers.

Should have waited to weld the engine mount till the frame was done,may have to move or adjust for seating purposes or even chain alignment.I had to make several changes on mine till it fit right

Thanks for the input DonI have already Aligned with the engine mounted and aligned jack shaft axle and torque converter with wheel axle. also allowed for adjustment of chain. I keep taking apart so I can move to my welding table.

Frame Progress, Tack Welded Today

Nice day today so, I worked on Tacking together my frame.
took about 2 hrs in prep time clamping ,leveling, making sure rails were square.
This was the hard part because my Frame is not a rectangle, the front is smaller then the back. I had to match the angles at the weld points.Looks like it worked
out OK.

Beware,when welding the front brace up,put a temp brace between the front of the frame.Mine wanted to bend in when I welded it

Hi Brian..If you measure the diagonals then hold the frame in place with tie down straps i found this also works when welding..Cheers Brian S..

Wind Shield Work.

Cut my plexiglass for my Wind shield today and installed in frame.
I used some tubing for shims to center in frame.
Setting with clear silicone.
I should have taped around the glass first because I got some on the plexiglass.
I will remove the shims and silicone the rest when set.

Wind sheild complete.

Tires Mounted.

Mounted the tires on the rims over the past few days, what a workout.
Just like mounting bike tires only more leverage needed and a bit of soap and water. Used the harbor freight tire irons, worked well. Purchased Michelin M62 tires at $19 each. Great reviews they look like nice tires good fit.
