Beefed Up Steering

After the week end in Tieton, the kart held up petty good,but the steering had and lot of slop in it .
So when I returned from Tieton and inspected my car I beefed up the coupler on my steering shaft. Much better now!

Well I still need to paint and do some details but looks like I will be ready for tieton this year! cant wait!!! Added paint this week Put a smile on my face!

Made my seat over the weekend holiday.
Also mounted windsheild
Had to do some lubing on the sewing machine first to make it run better.
Next will be the engine cover

Dash And Gauges

Worked on the dash and gauges this week.
Installed a kill switch on dash as well as the speedometer, clock and outside
temp. the lamp will be a low oil warning but will not kill the engine. If it works I will share the circuit on the tech forum. also need to work out the drive part of the speedometer. I will also have a choke pull. Knob is a place holder for now.

Sorry to disappoint you guys, and I am planning to make this out of aluminum and engine turn it, but this is a self stick sheet of engine turning over wood. I need to get a better drill press because my first attempts at engine turning where uneven because the shaft is a bit loose.

Thanks guys,The keyed switch on left and the kill switch on the right are wired in parallel so I can keep it from starting without key, or kill engine by turning off one or the other. Still working on drive for the speedometer will change face of gauge to calibrate speed. thats the plan.
