So Rick, did you hollow out a female die to pound your "Speed Blisters" into?Brian

I used plywood forms. You cut the desired shape out of the center of two pieces of 3/4 plywood and sandwich the aluminum between them. Then hammer away until you get the shape you want. Take it out and touch it up with a hammer and dolly. I learned it by watching a youtube video.

That's clever. It's like the simple forms used for plastic windscreen bubbles, only with a hammer instead of heat and airgun. Looking great.

Very nice work. I do like the speed blisters and how you made them.

Thanks, Mark. I thought about using the same technique for a couple of scoops on the rear bodywork for brake cooling and intake air.

So why did you have to raise the tank 3/8"?Besides the obvious...the cable would not fit underneath??As that was to be my task today......work on throttle cable, brake cable, and brake lines.Anything to procrastinate further on the body build.Brian

The cable would fit under, but the block that holds the cable hit the corner of the tank when I put it back on. I could have made another bracketed to move it closer to the carb, but raising the tank was much easier.
